Spring in Saltaire

Saltaire's iconic buildings (Salts Mill, Saltaire United Reformed Church and the New Mill) look especially good in the early Spring sunshine, among the daffodils and the first sprays of apple blossom. At this time of year, things change so fast. These photos were taken on the 21st April and everything has greened up quickly since then.

Incidentally, the early May Bank Holiday weekend, 5-7 May, sees the return of Saltaire's Arts Trail, when village houses become art galleries and there is lots to enjoy. If you're local, do think about coming. For details, please click the link.

  1. I think this is one of your very nicest photos of the United Reformed Church.

  2. I'm amazed at how many different angles and moods you find among the same buildings. Spring seems to be playing peek-a-boo this year; one day it's here the next it's gone again.

  4. The architecture is splendid, Jenny, especially in that light.
